Helical piles were used to support a retaining wall, ramp, egress stair well foundation and slab at the company’s operations and maintenance facility.

- Equipment Used: Excavator with Pro Dig Drive Head
- Challenge/Unique Aspect: The borings indicated sand overlaying a low blow-count organic layer followed by higher “N” value sand at 75 feet where bearing was ultimately achieved. The helicals had to muscle through the upper, hard layer to reach a suitable bearing stratum.
