Verizon was upgrading electrical generation equipment for an existing cell tower and wanted to elevate the equipment on a platform to get it well above the flood plain. A deep foundation was needed to reach a suitable bearing strata and the helicals were left 8’above grade to support the equipment pad above the flood zone.
