Project Summary: Dynamic Load Test
A new medical facility needed to provide support for a Linear Accelerator (Linac) used in radiotherapy for cancer treatments. Soft silty soil required a deep foundation to support the equipment pad. A load test was required to validate capacity. After the test pile was installed with the help of DANBRO, a Dynamic PDA Load test was completed with GRL engineers. The pile was tested, met, and exceeded the required 220 KIP load in compression. The production piles were then installed (see Penn Medicine LINAC Foundation).
