A $221 million, 75-mile-long restoration project, spanning 5 New York counties to extend the useful life of the Aqueduct.
A water pumping station at New Croton Reservoir abutting the Harlem railroad was to undergo an upgrade and the access road needed to be stabilized to accommodate the equipment required for the job and to protect a residence atop the hill. Helical soil nails were used to stabilize the slope and to minimize access issues with minimal disturbance to private property.
