A building on a Main Street America development in historic Collingswood, NJ required a non-intrusive foundation repair. The building (residential above with commercial below) was experiencing settlement and needed to be underpinned. The historic restoration needed to preserve the original façade, while allowing the building to remain occupied and accommodate business as usual.

- Challenge/Unique Aspect: There was an existing uneven stone footing so a lintel was constructed utilizing angle iron. The underpinned sections were then formed and the commercial underpinning piles and brackets were encased in concrete. All this was done without interfering with the fully operational store on the street level and with no disturbence to the occoupents above.
