The Brigantine School District decided to expand their outdoor space to accommodate more activities in a open, healthy, fresh-air environment. The 32′ X 40′ pavilion required a deep foundation due to poor soils and had to resist uplift in addition to providing foundation support.

- Challenge/Unique Aspect: Construction officials wanted to avoid any vibration close to the existing school building and minimalize disturbance to the adjacent parking lot and playground. The tension component required a deep foundation element which worked as well in tension as in compression. The school year was fast approaching and the foundation was needed ASAP so the construction of the Pavilion could follow. Titan completed the installation of twenty piles to a minimum embedment of 34 feet in less than two days.
