Virginia Department of Transportation replaced 60 old wooden poles with new aluminum poles. Lighting Foundation anchors/piles were specified as an alternate to concrete piles. A soil probe was done and it was determined that on the 30′ poles with one arm to use a 6″ x 5′ foundation anchor and on the two arm poles to use a 6″ x 7′ foundation anchor.
